Our Mission

KinderPrep Private Preschool is dedicated to preparing students for kindergarten and life. We strive to align our curriculum with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework and Oregon’s Early Learning and Kindergarten Guidelines. This means that our curriculum focuses on developing students’ skills in all five central domains: Approaches to Learning; Social and Emotional Development; Language and Communication and Literacy; Mathematics Development and Scientific Reasoning; and Perceptual, Motor, and Physical Development. We believe this is accomplished through a curriculum that has a combination of structured, teacher-led learning and creative, process-based learning through play and exploration.

 

KinderPrep believes it is important to encourage independence and responsibility in our students. These skills allow a child to develop self esteem and confidence based on their own accomplishments, rather than on the opinions of others. We teach them respect for themselves, their peers, and the adults. We believe well-rounded students, who have skills in multiple domains will succeed in school and in life.
